 NCHE/ North Carolinians for Home Education- http://www.nche.com/ This is our State Group which advocates for Home Educators in North Carolina. They also presents a graduation ceremony and a wonderful Seminar and Curriculum Fair in the Spring.

HSLDA/ Homeschool Legal Defense Association- www.hslda.org Membership in this group helps provide information and support to Homeschooling Families Internationally, as well as personal legal help for your Homeschool if ever needed. This group is also a lobbying force for Home Educators in our state.

North Carolina Division of Non-public Education- http://www.ncdnpe.org/index.asp Suggestions for your Homeschool can be found here as well as information on how to file a Notice of Intent to Homeschool.

North Carolina Course of Study- http://www.ncpublicschools.org/curriculum/ The NC Course of Study is available here for you to look at. Homeschoolers in NC are not required to follow this, but it is available for those who might want to keep track of the public school goals for each school year.

Forsyth County Public Library- http://www.co.forsyth.nc.us/library/clemmons.aspx This is another great resource for Home Educators. Forsyth County offers those who live in the directly surrounding counties a library card free of charge. 

Davie Family YMCA- http://davie.ymcanwnc.org/ This facility is wonderful and offers Homeschool PE each week. Contact them for information, or see details in the T.E.A.C.H. Newsletter and Member resource guide, once you join.

Farmington Community Center- http://farmingtoncc.org/ Great program for Tweens and Teens as well as for Sr. Citizens. The Community Center provides Holiday events and a Farmer's Market as well.

T.E.A.C.H. Homeschool Support Group of Davie County North Carolina - We are Teaching Excellence, Achievement, and Character at Home! This is a group of Christian Home Educators who have decided to work together to provide information for Home Educators in Davie County NC and the surrounding areas. Our focus is on parent education, organizing enrichment and educational activities, field trips and fellowship opportunities for our Membership. We provide a Newsletter, Directory and a Yahoo Group as well as regular Monthly meetings for fellowship and learning!
